Why do I need to opt in to continue receiving marketing messages and newsletters from TOG24 by email?
We want to make sure that you still want to hear from us. That’s why we’re asking you to confirm what emails you’d like to receive from us, in line with upcoming changes to the law. To make it easier for you to update and manage your preferences, and see what else is on offer, we’ve made changes to the Email Preferences centre.
What are marketing messages?
Marketing messages are when we tell you about TOG24's products and services, which we think may be of interest to you. They can be sent to you directly via email.
What data do you collect when I sign up for an email and opt in to receive marketing?
If I opt in for marketing, will you share my contact details with other organisations?
No, we never share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. All marketing messages are sent by us only.
If I opt in, can I opt out again at a later date?
Yes, you are always in control over your preferences and you can unsubscribe from your marketing preferences whenever you like. Simply visit the Communication centre at TOG24 to opt out or click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email or newsletter.
What happens if I don’t opt in by 30 April 2018?
If you miss the date to opt in, we won’t send you any more existing marketing messages or editorial newsletters, unless you update your email preferences in the to new communication centre. You will still continue to receive emails from us in relation to any products you have purchased.
What is changing in the law?
The EU have introduced a new law, which is designed to give you more control over how companies collect and use your personal data. It’s called General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and comes into effect on 25 May 2018. GDPR applies to all organisations located within the EU. As TOG24 is registered in England and Wales, it’s governed by EU regulations. We are therefore contacting everyone currently receiving marketing messages from TOG24 to ensure we have your up to date data preferences. The new law will continue to apply after the UK leaves the European Union.
Once I’ve opted in, where can I check my details and what I’ve subscribed to?
You can still check and update your personal details, preferred methods of contact and marketing preferences via the communications centre on the TOG24 website. You will find a link at the bottom of each website page.
I have used both my work and home email email addresses. Can I opt in to all of them at the same time?
No, we’ll send an email to each email account. You will then have to opt in to each one separately.
