BACK TO OUR BOOTS

We’re delighted to announce that we are stomping onto the footwear scene again after almost 40 years since producing our last shoe!

Our latest collection of stylish yet practical walking boots have been designed with casual dressing and weekend strolls with the dog (specifically a whippet) in mind and cleverly blur the line between every-day-life and the great outdoors.

With a nod towards our Yorkshire heritage, the three different lines of the collection have been dubbed after famous Yorkshire landmarks: Ingleborough, Whernside and Pennyghent – extra points if you can tell us what these are!

This latest launch has actually been a long time in the making as back in the mists of time, around the 1970s, footwear was the main output of our Heckmondwike factory. Here we created football boots, training shoes and athletic spikes – all under the name, Mileta. At that time, Derek Ibbotson, a greatly celebrated local athlete was involved in the business and the name Mileta was created because of him, “mile-eater”.

Fast forward to 2019 and we’re back in the footwear business and have designed an exciting range of footwear, made for those determined to live life to the full. Time to stroll your way to the local for a well-deserved pint – these boots are made for walking.
