Bought as a Christmas gift,

"Bought as a Christmas gift, so not yet been gifted. However, this is to be a replacement for the previous gilet I gifted to the same person. It’s everyday wear for him and will be useful to have an alternative when the first is in the wash. The original gilet (exact same style and size) was a winner from the outset, so I have no doubt this one will go down really well too. Please keep making these in this fantastic size range please."

"I was after a thin layer, mainly for under my motorbike jacket for the winter and future trips. It had to be windproof, down an a snug fit. I have a full on box section big down jacket but this suitable for the bike. It arrive within time and was what I wanted. Was a good fit, light weight and was warm enough. Pack-away size was very good as it stowed in it's own pocket. This is a good jacket ideal for the bike and will defiantly be going with me on next years road trip."

Hi is this jacket water resistant, DWR or fully waterproof or none of the above?
Hello, Thank you for your question. Due to the stitching on the baffles (segments containing the down or thermal fill) of this jacket it is not waterproof as water will be able to get in through these stitching holes. The main feature of these jackets is that they are incredibly warm but they will need a further waterproof layer on top to fully protect against these elements. The jackets have a DWR water repellent coating as standard, but this will not withstand anything above a short, light shower. Are there any inside pockets?
