Beautiful quality - the fabric

"Beautiful quality - the fabric is lightweight yet highly insulating - it's perfect for layering under a coat on colder days or wearing as a top layer. The quilting is a classic feature which will age well, yet feels contemporary combined with the cut of the gilet. Great for body structures that can't take too much fabric/bulk. The hemline is softly curved and is shorter at the front than the back - this works incredibly well if you have curve on your bottom half and want to highlight your waist, whilst having flattering coverage at the back. My only criticism (based purely on my personal body structure) is that the oversized style is too boxy on me. I was fortunate enough to pick this up in the sale, and as this is a common challenge I have for my body shape, I had budgeted for having a little excess fabric taken out of the sides and shaping at the waist by a local alterations service. This is an inexpensive tweak, and I know that this gilet will now serve me for many years to come and work with everything in my autumn/winter wardrobe. If in doubt, size down - I usually wear an 8-10. I purchased a size 8 and it still had an oversized/relaxed look and feel."
