"Started well, I ordered on Friday evening, it arrived on Monday. The coat was huge on me ! I ordered my usual size. It looked like a large brown bin liner on me. I did not like the material either sadly, so no point in ordering a smaller size. Disappointing. To top off that disappointment, Evri took a week to pick up the return."

"The poppers do up from left to right, like a man's coat. The hood is rather large and in heavy rain I had to keep pushing it off my face so that I could see where I was going, but it is a lovely coat, very smart and suitable for town and country."

Too big a hood.

"I loved this coat and wanted to keep it but there were a couple of key things holding me back. There is too much material in the skirt section of the coat, even though I had the smallest size, once it was zipped up it puffed out and looked silly. But more importantly, as a rain coat and thinking I’d have it up most of the time, the hood was way too big. It needs a pull cord at the back, it’s huge just flaps down over your face and you wouldn’t be able to actually walk / see with it up. Really frustrating as I loved everything else about the coat."

From happiness to disappointment.

"Searched a lot for a womens waterproof raincoat. Lots out there but none looked as good as the Tog24 Alva trenchcoat. All of my existing coats are an 18, they are a good fit with a little spare room for a winter jumper. I ordered a size 18 hoping it would fit the same. Opened my package today. Absolutely love the Khaki colour, they style is wonderful. The pockets a really good size and the overall detail and is first class. Then I tried it on. Really disappointed. It was massive. I would have had room for 2 or 3 winter jumpers and although I knew it would be a longer length than I usually have (and quite happy about it). I expected it to come mid calf, when in fact it was virtually ankle length. So as much as I hate doing it, i will have to return it. Unfortunately, the search goes on."

Love my new coat

"Received my Alva chocolate brown waterproof coat and I love it, it's stylish, lightweight and a good long length. As I am only 5ft 2 I read the reviews and was concerned it might be too long on me, but it's great, when the rain is pouring it's best to have more coverage, not pleasant getting wet jeans. Am looking forward to wearing it for a long time. It arrived in good time too earlier than expected. Very happy customer."

Hello, The Alva is not suitable for these low temperatures. It is a waterproof outer layer and will need insulated base and mid layers for warmth.
